Welcome to Quiet Prosperity, my blog centered around:

I use this site for a few reasons:

  1. Gaining Knowledge & Helping Myself/Others – To help me crystallize thoughts and ideas in topics that I already have experience with. To learn about new ideas and topics that I have an interest in. Writing helps my own knowledge base, and as David Foster Wallace helped me realize, I worship at the alter of knowledge.
  2. Networking & Business – I don’t know if this blog will lead to anything at all, but if I can develop a new business idea, create new relationships, or create a new income stream, all from writing about topics I am interested in, that would be awesome (But not expected).
  3. Problem Solving & Objectivity – I do get exposure to this through my day job, but it wouldn’t hurt to have more of it. When it comes to entering a flow state, I often find that one way to get there (for me) is through some level of problem solving and thinking (preferably with numbers). The key for me is to be as objective as possible during the process so that the answer is useful.

Basically, I’m going to write mostly about investing, personal finance and business, but randomness will occur =)

I’m in my 30’s, married and have kids. I enjoy classic cocktails, being outdoors, sports and a solid burger & fries.

I work on a small consulting team that deals directly with clients of the company that I work for. In my role, I mostly perform research, analysis and administrative activities related to various business/financial issues.

I do like my job quite a bit. I could see myself trying to consult on my own way down the road (Solo Practice of course), but I have no plans on changing anything for now.

When I get a random dose of free-time (Outside of family, health & work), I tend to fill those gaps with reading (History, Biographies or Fantasy Series), writing, friends, and if I’m lucky, playing golf/gaming (Those are very rare occasions these days).
